Marriage

Personal Experience Review   by:puja

They say, ‘Marriages are made in
Heaven’. Marriage means in the literal, ‘an alliance between a man and a woman’
for life. This means they decide to spend their entire life together, in sorrow
and happiness. It is a very pious institution, which must be respected by all
you enter into it. It is a special blessing when soul mates become life
partners. They create history while others spend their lives as a life time
agreement.

Earlier marriages were happening
between same castes. When education influenced the world, a revolution spread
into the minds of the youth. Youngsters not only became more ambitious in their
careers, they even started marrying outside their castes. This was a good
change for the society. In conservative countries, it was not readily accepted
but those you went out to implement the same it was a great achievement for the
young citizens, while the older generation sulked.

On the contemporary scenario
these days, the meaning of marriage has changed. These days are they only a
mere form of compromise. Extra marital affairs, live-in relationships,

divorces, etc have completely changed the sanctity of the institution. An
example for the common divorce I read of late was that a lady filed a divorce
simply because her husband did not update their married status on a social
website. Isn’t it strange! The basis of a marriage is trust, which should never
be lost even in dire consequences. Also a man and a woman must be friends
before being man-wife.

Lucky are those who still believe
in the bond of marriage, however distant they may be from one another because
love binds the two together. No partner must take the other for granted and respect
each other. They must support one another in their decisions after proper
discussions.

Hence, a bond like marriage must
be followed by all with a contemporary spirit.
