I have often wondered if there are fashion icons in India and Pakistan. Here it goes to show you almost anything is possible lately:
Mathira Mohammed a television presenter in Karachi is exceeding boundaries with her fashion extravaganza during Pakistan Fashion week 2012. Featured here we see Mathira daringly struts the runaway in shorts and a shoulder baring top here.
The presenter's top mysteriously slipped a bit below her bra just as she stopped in front of a bank of TV cameras.
Sanam Chaudri is a fashion designer from Pakistan. His clothing line features daring bright neon colors.
Fashion is far from the norm in Pakistan. Poverty is a huge concern here. Deepak Perwani feels people need to look @ something pleasant compared to terrorism in the media and war. One day a new Pakistan could emerge from liberal views like Perwanis.
Fashion Week 2012 here features Pakistani model's flaunting design's by fashion designer Wardham Saleem. Similar attire in many parts of the world could cause the weares harsh punishment, arrest, and even death.
A new Pakistan is starting to emerge. In Peshawar near the Afghanistan border women still wear views. Old tradition and culture reigns supreme in Peshawar.
Some of the models @ Pakistan Fashion Week were paid a $1000 a night to model outfits like the one pictured here. Things are changing in Pakistan. There are now more middle class women than in the past who fight traditional liberal views and can afford luxury duds similiar to what westerner's wear.
