Turkish Digest report on blog the news that the Turkish First Lady has been seen with Michelle Obama the
U.S. First Lady ..... Turkey's first lady Hayrunnisa Gul is the wife of President Abdullah Gul. However,
Obama took her and four other first ladies to a local youth centre for lunch and a musical
perforance of the children of the center.
The Turkish publication Hurriyet Daily News reports that Obama and Gul clapped as there was dancing
and gospel singing from the Soul Children of Chicago and they sample strawberry food and this included
vinagrette salad dressing.
There are some interesting pictures of all this activity included in the Turkish Blog and the first ladies
are lined up and are dressed in their splendid outfits and all are enjoying themselves to the full.
The pressure I suppose here is to exclaim the contrast of outfits as someone pictures - a knee deep shot of these women
it seems Mrs Gul is covered head to toe and wearing the Muslim Headscarf whereas Mrs Obama is sporting
what looks like a short length outfit with "knees" showing .. this always makes my men friends laugh and
hoot as I wore the mini skirt and in that halycon period of our past I sported the "Knees" look along with
the best of them but in today's world it all seems in frightfully good taste and belonging to the past!
So its a WELL DONE to Turkish First lady and America's First Lady who provide a contrast of style in
