If you like gymming, work the machines for the lower body every alternate day. With each of the machines start with 10-12 repetitions. You should begin to feel the strain with the eighth repition initially. Within a few weeks of keeping at it the reps will become easier that is when you can increase the number of repetitions. For those who don’t have the discipline that a gym demands, take up a sport.
Swimming: It is deal for pre or post- menopausal women as it does not strain the bones. Yet at the same time, it is an intense exercise that works your lower body muscles extensively and is perhaps the fastest way to tone your legs.
Spinning: This too is an excellent and quick method to tone your lower body. But it is a bit intense. So unless you are in perfect health. This one’s not for you.
Power Walking: almost anyone, at any age can take this up. However, based on your overall health, decide your pace. Ideally you need to walk at a pace where making conversation is difficult.

The above mentioned cardio exercises can be done everyday. However remember that if you are sticking to a cardio routine alone, you need to do that little extra to protect your joints in the form of weight training.
Invest in a pair of dumbbells and do some basic lunges and squats at least three times a week. These compound exercises will make your lower body joints less prone to injury.
Tone up: A simple beauty routine will help you feel a lot more confident even as the hem- lines continue to rise.
Exfoliate: You can get rid of dry, flaky skin on your legs simply by using a gentle scrub. In fact create your own natural scrub by talking a tsp of rock salt or table salt. Add to this a few drops of lemon juice. Rub gently on to the skin and once absorbed wash with cold water. The salt granules will help you get rid of dry patchy skin while the vitamin C in lemon juice will work away the tan.
If this seems like too much of a hassle. Invest in a loofah. Use a gentle body wash or a soap containing glycerin. Work up a lather by moving the loofah in a circular motion. This will take off the dead skin and help open up the pores and there by help you get rid of annoying in growth.
Moisturize: Every night moisturize your legs with olive oil or a gentle body lotion. When using olive oil, treat yourself by adding a few drops of aroma oil to it. For very dry skin with cracks smear generous amounts of petroleum jelly every night.
Protect: Sun screen will prevent your legs from a tan as also pigmentation.
Enhance: Before you get in to that micro- mini dress, mix some bronzer with moisturizer or baby oil for an even sheen.
People with varicose veins and cellulite can use some hydrating foundation. It is waterproof and last up to eight hours.
