The Poll kicks in with the bold statement that Canada is the best place to be a woman in a recent Poll,
according to Reuters. This refers to the list compiled relating to the G2O Countries. In Canada there are
safeguards against violence and exploitation and access to healthcare.

Infanticide, child marriage and slavery make India the worst the Poll concluded, but
Germany, Britain, Australia and France rounded out top 5 countries out of the group of 2O!
The United States came 6th with polarised opinion due to concerns in reproductive rights and affordable healthcare.

End of the scale: Saudi Arabia where women are well educated but banned from driving and only won the right to vote in 2O12 . polled second worst next to India.

India is poor and Saudi Arabia is rich; In India girls and women are sold as chattels and slaves and are
married off as young as 1O; - they are burned also due to dowry disputes and young girls are exploited
and abused.

Whereas Canada is perceived to be getting it right in protecting women's well being and basic freedoms.
Experts are divided on the situation on the United States of America. But in Mexico law enforcement is a challenge.

So the results of the Poll are interesting in as much as they are predictable in terms of what was looked for
and what was found and what criteria was put in place in order to come up with these results however
the best place has been selected as Canada and the reason that caught the attention of this woman writer
is that of available healthcare as that seems to be the core reason perhaps for the selection of Canada.
The contrast however at the bottom of the list with India is marked as a dynamic turnaround with so many
