Abstract
Private health care institutions in Cameroon can take the advantages created by the debilitating
consequences of the incidence of corruption in the public and organization owned health institutions to create markets for themselves and transforming the lives of the low income individuals.  Although private hospital competition can improve health care in Cameroon, much needs to be done for assurance. A balance must be established between the private hospital setup and the customer. More than 80% the population of any community is constituted of low income folks. Private hospitals are sprouting in nooks and crannies in view of making money and offering the needed satisfaction of medical salvation to the poor masses. Many people, though, still visit the public and organization health places for their medical needs. Most still live and depend on the false belief that subventions to public and organization health institutions are still creating the cheap effects they use to create when the management was under the aegis of God fearing people. What they do not understand is that subventions now end up in some pockets up there in the blue. In this respect the medical services are bound to be wanting. The private hospital owners can grasp the advantage, already within their reach, created by this unfortunate situation to create markets and transform lives. They can do so by going beyond conventional operational tactics to provide what customers want: better services at low costs. High performance coupled with good market creation tactics can open new doors to private hospital owners.
