Being thin is considered to be beautiful. However, it doesn’t mean that being thin is healthy. A research led by Dr. Jimmy Bell proved that thin people may be fat
inside and can also face the trouble that most fat people experience. A team of doctors scanned hundreds o individuals, both male and female, and examined their bodies as to where the fats are stored. It was discovered that some, especially those who are slim, store visceral fats in the vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and the heart. The study also confirmed that thin people who prefer dieting are most likely to store internal fat than those who prefer physical
exercise to burn out the fat. Without proper exercise, the internal fat may interrupt the communication system of the body thereby
increase the
risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. Experts say that a 20-minute exercise three times a week may be enough to lower the risk of heart ailments by 60 percent. Working out helps improve muscle tone, blood circulation, and the effectiveness of the heart and lungs. It can also increase endurance and stamina, as well as enhance psychological well-being, cope with stress, maintains motivation and improve self-esteem. Busy people can also find the time to exercise by including more physical activities in their daily routine, such as walking instead of riding to work, and by using the stairs rather than elevators. Drinking plenty of body fluids during and after exercise is also benefecial. People who are body-concious should choose dieting to look beautiful on the outside. But people who are health-concious should not only cut-down meals, but must also include a few minutes of exercise not just to be beautiful, but also healthy, inside and out. Indeed, there is no short-cut to a healthy lifestyle.
