Effect of Carthamustinctorius Linne on Rabbit Mesentery vasomotion Induced by Noradrenaline In Vivo

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: Journal of Sichuan of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective:Observing CTL effect on mesentery vasomotion and exploring the No action in the effect.to assure the CTL mechamism
in activiting blood to resolve blood stasis.Methods:20 Albino rabbits weighting 2.0~2.5kg were anesthetized with urethane(0.75g/kg) and alpha-chloralose(30mg/kg) intravenously. The rabbits were ventilated with room air via tracheotomy tube. The arterial pressure and breath were monitored with a pressure transducer attached to a polyethylene canuula in the right common carotid artery by four channel polygraph, the intestinal loop was mounted on the stage of an inverted microscope and bathed in balanced Kreb-Ringer solution maintained at 37.5℃.The inside diameter of arterioles were measured manually on a TV monitor using a TV camera mounted on the microscope.Changes of BP and microcirculation were observed after injection of NA intravenously.CTL(200mg/ml/kg) and L-NMMA(10mg/ml) were administered via a cannula in the left carotid artery after topical application of NA(0.8μg) conducted in the measured field. Results:Spontaneous vasomotion can be induced in the measured field after NA topically used.CTL can inhibit vasomotion in vasoconstriction stage,L-NMMA does not influence the effect of CTL on vasomotion. Conclusions:CTL's inhibition on vasomotion does not gain through endogenous NO.
