Objective:To Study the effect of Cuyu granule on rats for quality of ulcer healing(QOUH). Methods:The model rats of chronic gastric ulcer were prepared with acetic acid and randomly divided into A,B and C group, which were given normal saline, Cuyu granule and Ranitidine respectively. HE mucus stain was used to observe the width of defective muscularic mucosa and the thickness of regenerative gastric ulcer, Masson mucus stain was used to obeserve the density of collagen fibre, the method of nitric acid reductase was used to determined the level of serum NO. Results:The thickness of regenerative mucosa of B and C group were significantly thicker than that of A group(P<0.01), the width of defective muscularis mucosa were significantly narrower than that of A group(P<0.01), the level of serum NO were higher than that of A group(P<0.05). Furthermore, the thickness of regenerative mucosa of B group were significantly thicker than that of C group(P<0.05), the width of defective muscularis mucosa of B group were significantly narrower than that of C group(P<0.05), and the level of serum NO of B group were higher than that of C group(P<0.01). Conclusion:Cuyu granule can improve QOUH. It is one of possible mechanisms for preventing the relaps of peptic ulcer by using Cuyu granule in clinic.
