Objective To investigate the effects of
Xingnaoqizhi capsule on the
expression of
NGB mRNA of
hippocampus tissue in
mice with experimental vascular dementia.Methods A total of 120 male Kunming mice were divided into 6 groups randomly: Sham operation group,model group,high dose Xingnaoqizhi group,low dose Xingnaoqizhi group,Extract of GinkgoBiloba(银杏叶) control group,Nimodipine control group. Each group included 20 mice.The models with
vascular dementia were duplicated by the operation of cerebral ischemic reperfusion. At the 7th day after praxiology experiment, the mice were cut head to obtain cerebral tissue. The morphologic changes of cerebral tissue and the expression of NGB mRNA of hippocampus tissue in mice were observed.Results ① Results of praxiology experiment showed that the learning and memorizing performance record in model group decreased and that increased in other group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). ② The pathomorphologic analyze indicated that hippocampus tissue of mice brain appeared changes of ischemia. The pathological changes in each treatment group was weaker than that in model group. ③ The expression of NGB mRNA of hippocampus tissue of mice in model group were higher than that in sham-operation group(P<0.05), and that in each medical group was higher than that in model group(P<0.01).Conclusion Xingnaoqizhi Capsule was effective on experimental mice with vascular dementia.The mechanisms might be that Xingnaoqizhi Capsule could regulate the expression of NGB mRNA of hippocampus tissue in mice.
