Objective:This study was designed to investigate whether there was influence on behavior and memory senility caused by D-galactose in rats which were injected with resveratrol in a certain dose. Methods:One hundred mice were randomly divided into 5 groups according to injection condition(normal saline,D-galactose,low,middle and high dose of resveratrol). The D-galactose group and resveratrol group were continually injected with D-galactose for 72 days. And the resveratrol group was continually injected with resveratrol from the 23th day to the 72th day. After these animal models were finished, they were undergone these tests including Y type maze step through test. Morris maze test and lipofuscin guantitative analysis. Results:There was no statistical difference between low dose of resveratrol and models. Such differences of swimming length and the mumbers through the flat roof in Morris maze and the right numbers in Y type maze through test and the brain lipofuscin content were statistically valid by spss analysis between the D-galactose group and the middle and high dose of resveratrol group(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference between middle and high dose of resveratrol groups. Conclusion:The middle and high dose of resveratrol can improve the behavior and memory senility caused by D-galactose,and can inhibit the development of the brain lipofuscin.
