AIM:To study the protective effect and mechanism of qinggong changchun dan(CCD) on peroxidation injury induced by exercise in mice. METHODS:Totally 72 kunmin strain mice(female)were randomly divided into 6 groups:normal, oxidative stress
model induced by exercise,CCD(0.25,0.50 and 1.00 g/kg) and Vitamin E(30 mg/kg),12
mice per group. The drugs were administrated for 14 days. The content of MDA(malondialdehyde),the activities of SOD(superoxide dismutase) and GSH-Px(glutathione peroxidase) in serum, heart, liver and brain were determined in all mice 40 minutes after weight loading swimming. RESULTS:①The contents of MDA in serum, heart and
liver were decreased in
middle and high
dose of CCD group:in middle dose group,it was respectively (6.76±1.71),(47.1±11.1)and (54.3±7.9)μmol/L,in high dose group,it was (6.45±1.82),(43.5±14.5) and (52.1±9.5) μmol/L,all were significantly lower than those in model group<(9.71±3.11),(57.4 ±13.6)and (62.8±12.3)μmol/L>.There was significant difference(P< 0.05).②The activities of SOD in serum, liver and heart were increased in middle and high dose of CCD group:in middle dose group,it was respectively (4.78±0.44),(1.70±0.35)and(22.48±3.14)nkat/L;in high dose group,it was (4.44±0.52),(1.84±0.36)and (23.12±4.04)nkat/L,all were significantly increased than those in model group<(2.97±0.52),(1.32±0.30)and(18.78±2.78)nkat/L>. There was significant difference(P< 0.05).③The activities of GSH-Px were increased in serum, heart and liver:in middle dose group,it was respectively (0.58±0.14),(0.78±0.21)and (2.47±0.51)nkat/L;in high dose group,it was (0.58±0.22),(0.86±0.32)and (2.823 ±0.44) nkat/L,all were significantly increased than those in model group<(0.45±0.19),(0.61±0.19)and(2.33±0.38)nkat/L>. There was significant difference(P< 0.05).CCD had no effect on the content of MDA,activites of SOD and GSH-Px in cerebral constitution of mice. CONCLUSION:CCD has prominent protective effect on peroxidation injury induced by exercise.
