Objective To explore risperidone effect on body posture balance. Methods It was treated for risperidone in experimental group (39 schizophrenics). It was estimated for body posture balance test in experimental group at treated third day and treated twenty-eighth day, respectively . It was also estimated for body posture balance test in normal control group (26 subject without any psychotropics ). Results (1)It was significantly larger for total track distance and ratio of Romberg total track distance (blind the eye/open the eyes) in experimental group at treated third day than normal control group.(2)It was significantly larger for total track distance and the ratio of Romberg total track distance in experimental group at treated third day than treated twenty-eighth day.(3)There was no significantly different for all parameters of balance test between experimental group at treated twenty-eighth day and control group. There was no significant correlation between balance test parameters and psychiatric symptoms. Conclusion (1)It can be inhibited by risperidone 1mg/d treated for third day for accurate control posture function of deep feel reflex.(2) It was completely tolerated for the damage of balance function when risperidone (3.6±0.9) was treated for one month ;(3)There was no relationship between the damage of balance function induced by risperidone treated at third day and schizophrenia.
