Objective: To observe the reducing effect of xiao Tang Ling Pian(XTLP)on blood sugar(BS)of experimental
rats with diabetes. Methods: 50 rats with
diabetes model(model was set up through alloxan)were randomly divided into
model group,XTLP group(low,middle,and high dose)and D860 group.Rats in model group were fed by salline(20mg/kg·d -1 ).Rats in XTLP group(low,middle,and high dose)were fed by XTLP(0 69g/kg·d -1 ,1 37g/kg·d -1 and 2 74g/kg·d -1 ,respectively),Rats in D860 group were fed by D860(0 1g/kg·d -1 ),The therapeutic volumes of all group were 20ml/kg,once a day for 20 days.After stopping feed 12 hours,the levels of
bs and cholesterol(CH) in rats were measured. Results: Compared to before of therapy(after model was set up),The levels of BS of rats in XTLP group(low,middle,and high dose)reduced obviously( P<0 05 or P<0 01), Compared to model group,The levels of BS of rats in XTLP group(low,middle,and high dose) have also significantly difference( P <0 05),Compared to before of therapy,the levels of serum CH of rats in XTLP group(low,middle,and high)have reduced obviously( P <0 05),but D860 has not effect on level of CH in rats( P >0 05). Conclusion: XTLT has reduced obviously levels of BS and CH in rats with chemistry diabetes model,but it can not effect on level BS in normal rats.
