AIM: To determine the content of trace elements and macro elements in 21 kinds of Chinese traditional medicines for cardio
cerebral vascular disease, to study the interrelation of trace elements and macro elements to the therapeutic effect through method of blurred classification,to build a new method for evaluating quality of Chinese traditional medicine. METHODS: By wet nitration method, samples were treated, and by FAAS, the content of 10 kinds of trace elements and macro elements, such as sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, nickel, chromium, copper, zinc and manganese in 21 kinds of Chinese traditional medicines was determined. Through data extreme difference method, standard processing of statistical target was carried out, while through the quantity product method, correlation coefficient of classified samples to define blurred matrix was calculated. RESULTS: Cluster in 9 kinds of medicines was similar when correlation coefficient was o.55; cluster in 6 kinds of medicines was similar when correlation coefficient was o.65; cluster in 2 kinds of medicines was similar when correlation coefficient was o.85. CONCLUSION: The trace elements and macro elements are rich and the correlation coefficient is considerably great, then the therapeutic effect of the medicines is similar. This suggests that trace elements and macro elements have much to do with the therapeutic effect. It provides a scientific basis for researching new types of medicines superior in trace elements.
