Objective:The effect of mixture of Prilla frutescens(L.) Britt. oil and soybean peptide on blood lipid in hyperlipoidemia model rats and the keeping time of low level of blood lipid one week after non taking the reducing blood lipid mixture were studied. Methods:40 SD rats were divided into 4 groups. The reducing blood lipid mixture contained 88% Prilla frutescens(L.) Britt. oil and 12% soybean peptide was irrigated to stomach lasting 40 days in high blood lipid model rats those were fed with high lipid food. The Serum cholesterol (TC) , triglyceride (TG) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) were tested 40 days after taking the reducing blood lipid mixture and one week after non taking in all experimental animals. Results:The level of serum CT and TG of experimental group were significantly lower than those in high blood lipid model control group(P< 0.01 ), but serum high density lipoprotein was significantly higher than that in high blood lipid model control group(P< 0.05 ). One week after stopping taking of reducing blood lipid mixture, the serum triglyceride was maintained yet at a lower level. Conclusion:The reducing blood lipid mixture extracted from nature plants that are used in diet and medicine indeed can decrease blood lipid concentration notably and can prevent hyperlipidemia.
