Effccts of fructose-1,6-diphosphate on myocardial and cerebral lesion induced by isoprenaline in rat

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics
Objective Effects of fructose l, 6 diphosphate (FDP) on myocardial and cerebral lesions induced by isoprenaline (Iso) in
rats were studied. Methods The models of myocardial ischemia were made by Iso treatment.Twenty four rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group ( n =8),Iso group ( n =8) <5 mg/(kg·d), 7 d>, Iso+FDP group ( n =8) .The pathologic changes in myocardial and cerebral tissues were observed by lightmicroscope and electron microscope. Levels of activity of sarco/endoplasmic Ca 2+ ATPase (SERCA) in the myocardium and superoxide dismdese (SOD) in the cerebral tissue were detected. Results In Iso treated rats, there were many fibrosis focal changes in myocardium including flat, multifocal, and coagulate necrosis. The density of hippocaxnpial neuron was lower compared with rats of control group. The activities of SERCA from myocardium and SOD from cerebral tissues were markedly decreased than those of control group. FDP reduced the pathological changes of myocardial and cerebral tissues in rats induced by Iso. Also, FDP enhanced the activity of SERCA from myocardium and SOD from cerebral tissue. Conclusion FDP has protective effect on myocardial and cerebral tissues reduce pathological changes in myocardial and cerebral tissue of rats induced by Iso.
