Antiaging activities of effective microorganisms extract (EM X),a products originating from combination of selected beneficial
aerobic and anaerobic bacteria,was studied in the
fruit fly and the mouse On the life test of fruit fly,treatment of 5% EM X
significantly prolonged the survival time by 13 9% in the female and by 9% in the male On the experiments of mouse,treatment of EM X of 10ml/kg resulted significantly in an increase of 8 2% in the serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) and a decrease of 9 7% in the serum malondialdelhyde (MDA) on the D galactose induced aging mice and prolonged significantly the survival time of the mice by 22 2% at high temperature and 20% under the hypoxia circumstance EM X at the dose of 20ml/kg significantly enhanced the phagocytic activity of intraperitoneal macrophages by a raising of 52% in phagocytized rate and 84% in phagocytized index,and enhanced twice the serum hemolysin formation in both the normal mice and the mice which were immunosuppressed by cyclophosphamide The present results show that EM X is of potent antioxidant activities on the animals which resulted in the effects of antiaging,anti hyperthermia and anti hypoxia We,furthermore,corroborated in vivo that EM X is a beneficial modulator of immunological function in the animals <
