Study on lmmune Regulation of Low dose of Glycosides of Radix Tripterygii in Treatment of Recurrent

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: CHINESE TRADITIONAL PATENT MEDICINE
Objective: In order to study the changes of immune status of patients with rucurrent aphthous ulcer (RAU) and the effect
of low dose of glycosides of Tripterysium wilfordii on patients' immune function. Methods: 100 patients with RAU were selected as the experiment group Ⅰ and treated with low dose of glycosides of Tripterygium wilfordii and compound Danshen, Zinc and Ferradia oral liquid. 30 patient with RAU as the experiment group Ⅱ were treated only with Compound Danshen, Zinc and Ferralia Oral Liquid. The level of T lymphocyte subgroup (APPAP method), the contents of serum immunoglobulin, complement C3 and C4 (immune transmission turbidity method), and circulation immune complex (precipitin turbidity method) of all patients were determined when the patients took medicines before and after two months. Results: (1) As compared with the control group, CD3 and CD4 percen values, CD4/CD8 ratio and C3 content of two experiment groups were obviously decreased, CD8, IgG and CIC contents were raised ( P <0.01). (2) The comparison of before and after treatment of the experiment group Ⅰ indicated that CD3、CD4,CD8,CD4/CD8, IgG, C3 and CIC showed a significant differences ( P <0.01). The comparison of two experiment groups indicated that group Ⅰ was better than group Ⅱ in the hand of improving immune reaction. There was significant difference from immune detection markers and the two groups ( P <0.01). Conclusion: These results bear out that the attack of RAU is closely linked to the disturbance of immune reaction, and low dose of glycosides of Radix Triptergii can effectively regulate and recover cellular and humoral immune responses of patients with RAU.
