In medical literature of Chinese
medicinal herbs many of them are named with character “Tu”,which should be
carefully differentiated and analysed.For example,“Chi Tu”,“Huang Tu”,“Tu Xiao”have respective drug action.“Tu”before the name of a Chinese
medicinal herb or a medicine without“Tu”in front of it may be completely
different two kinds of medicines,or may be a wild substitute for a Chinese medicine with no“Tu”before its name,or may be two kinds of plants belongings to the same family but different sort with similar property and flavor,or to the same family and same sort with different property and flavor,or may be a formal name or another name of a medicine. Therefore, much attention should be paid in the clinical application. (See Page 64)valuation was then carried out at 6 hours and 24 hours after MCAO and cerebral infarction volume was examined with computer imaging techniques after TTC staining. Results: Most rats in Group A had no neurological deficit and/or cerebral infarction while Groups B and C had these problems to various degrees. Group B showed even more serious neurological deficit and greater cerebral infarction volume than Group C(P<0.01). Conclusion: Significant reperfusion injury may develop in rats with renovascular hypertension at 6 hours after cerebral ischemia with reperfusion for 18 hours afteh MCAO.
