DiabetesPeripheralNeuropathy (DPN )was treatedwith“EffectivenessandSpecificityCapsules” ,in ordertoobserveitsregulatoryfunctionfordisturbanceof
polyatomicalcoholpathwayinDPN .Intheclinicalstudy , 90casesoftheoutpatientsandinpatientsconformingto DNPdiagnosticcriteriawereselectedanddividedinto 60
casesinthegroupof“EffectivenessandSpecificityCap sules”and 30casesinthegroupof“Qi Benefitingand Yin NourishingCompoundFormula” .Theresultsshowed thatthetotaleffectiveratewas 88.3%inthegroupof “EffectivenessandSpecificityCapsules”and 76.7%in thecontrolgroupofChineseherbalmedicineandthatthe contentsofredcellsorbitedecreasedremarkablyafter treatments(P <0 .0 1)andtherewasasignificantdiffer enceincomparisonwiththecontrolgroup (P <0 .0 5 ) .In theexperimentalstudy ,ratmodelswithdelayedDPNin ducedbySTZweretreatedrespectivelyby“Effectiveness andSpecificityCapsules” ,“Qi BenefitingandYin Nour ishingCompoundFormula”andMethycobalTablets .The resultsshowedthatthevalueofredcellsorbiteandthe activityofcrystalaldosereductaseobviouslyincreasedin ratmodelsandthatafterthetreatmentswith“Effective nessandSpecificityCapsules” ,bothofthemdecreasedre markably (P <0 .0 1)andbetterthantwocontrolgroups . Itisconcludedthat“EffectivenessandSpecificityCap sules”caneffectivelyregulatethedisturbanceofpoly atomicalcoholpathwayinDPNanditismaybeoneofthe reasonsinitstherapeuticeffect .
