OBJECTIVE: To study effect of shihu yeguanggranule in the formation of
experimental cataracts of
rats and the
conjunctive microcirculation of the rabbits METHODS: one hundred and twenty rats were random divided into control group, model group, and
pill group The rats of pill group were divided to high
dose group,
middle dose and small dose group once more The changing degree of lens opacity of rats was observed respectively at tenth day, fifteenth day, and twentieth day after the experiment Thirty two rabbits were random divided into control group, high dose group, middle dose group, and pill group The rabbits were taken the drugs orally, after 60 minute 10% macromolecular dextran 6 ml/kg were injected venously in each groups The change of conjunctive microcirculation was observed respectively RESULTS: Developed ratio of experimental cataracts of the rats in the model group, pill group and high and middle dose group was 333%~667, 364%~636% and 273%~727%, there was statistic significant between the groups (P<005) The developed ratio was 273%~727%, 333%~667% and 417%~583% in the high dose group , middle dose group, and small dose group respectively There was statistic significant between the high dose groups, middle dose group and small dose group in conjunctive microcirculation the color and moving situation of blood, vascular bore and the number of crossing points (P<005) CONCLUSIONS: Shihu yeguang granule can delay the formation of experimental cataract of rats and improved the conjunctive microcirculation of the rabbits
