Purpose: To study the mechanism of
Ying Xinning in treating angina pectoris ( AP ) caused by coronary heart disease. Methods: The
myocardial ischemia models were prepared by injecting hypophysin into the abdominal cavity of the
rats to observe the effects of Ying Xinning and Herbesser on variations of the general conditions of the experimented rats, their ECG,
PAgT and NO system levels. Results: The positive rates of myocardial ischemia in the rats in the Ying Xinning Group and Hebesser Group were
lower than those in the
model group ( P<0.05 ). But there was no statistical difference between the Ying Xinning and Hebesser Groups ( P>0.05 ). The PAgT in the model group was obviously higher than that in the negative control group( P<0.01 ), while the PAgT in the Ying Xinning Group and Hebesser Group were significantly lower than that in the model group( P< 0.01, P< 0.05 ), but still higher that that in the negative group. The PAgT in the Ying Xinning Group was lower than that in Hebesser Group, with the statistical significance (P<0.05). The NO content and NOS activity in the model group was obviously lower than those in the negative group (P<0.05). However the NO content and NOS activity in the Ying Xinning Group and Hebesser Group were remarkably higher than those in the model group (P<0.05). The NO system level in Ying Xinning Group was lower than that in Hebesser Group with no significant difference between them (P>0.05). Conclusions: Ying Xinning can lower the ECG positive rate of myocardial ischemia in the experimented rats and relieve their ischemic degree. It can also improve NO content and NOS activity of myocardial tissue, dilate vascular smooth muscle, remit coronarospasm, reduce PAgT, prevent thrombosis and relieve blood stasis.
