OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of
concentrated liquor from male zooid of
Antheraea pernyi to the cellular immune function,
humoral immune function, and monocyte phagocytic system of mice.METHODS: For each item of the experiment, 40 mice were randomized into physiological saline group, and three different dose groups of
concentrated liquor from male zooid of
Antheraea pernyi, and raised continuously for 15 days with routine food and the concentrated liquor from male zooid of Antheraea pernyi (iv). The typical FSR (mm) value representing cellular immune function, HC 50 value representing humoral immune function,phagocytic exponent K and emendation phagocytic exponent α representing the cleanup function of the monocyte phagocytic system in mice to colloid charcoal particles, were determined and calculated respectively.RESULTS: At 24 hr and 48 hr,The FSR value of the treatment groups improved obviously compared with the control group,and the data showed obvious difference with variance analysis(24 h P<0.01,48 h P<0.001). The HC 50 showed obvious difference with variance analysis, big dose group vs control group, also big dose group vs small dose and medium dose respectively,P<0.01. Exponent K and emendation phagocytic exponent α showed an increasing trend, but no obvious difference with variance analysis.CONCLUSIONS: The concentrated liquor from male zooid of Antheraea pernyi can obviously enhance the cellular immune system of mice, and has certain stimulative effect to the humoral immune function,and no distinct influence to the monocyte phagocytic system of mice
