The application of the
uniform design method used in the test study of material's
stress corrosion behaviors is introduced
in this paper.
Stress corrosion behaviors of 16MnR welding metal are studied and the tests are arranged by the
uniform design method. There are two variables in the tests, namely H_2S concentration and pH value which have several values. On thin stuely, three indexes, namely the shrinkage rate of section, the elongation rate, and the area underneath the curve of stress-strain are selected to evaluate the susceptibility index of welding metal. The three indexes are regressed and their regression equations deduced by the software of the uniform design method. Analyecl and comparecl three indexes and their equations, the index of the area underneath the curve of stress-strain believed to be able to most accurately describe the state of stress corrosion susceptibility. An equation is regressecl to express the relationship between stress corrosion susceptibility of 16MnR weld and environmental effects.
