Objective To evaluate in vitro antibacterial activity of domestic
amoxicillin sodium and
sulbactam sodium for injection
(AMSB).Methods The MICs were tested by two-fold agar dillution method and two-fold broth dillution method, and the β-lactamases were examined by Nitrocefin disc method, which were compared with the similar imported products including trifamox (TFM),
amoxicillin sodium for injection (AMPC) and
sulbactam sodium for injection (SB).Results AMSB showed high activities against gram positive coccus, the MIC 90 were 0.5~8 mg/L and 4~8 times potent than those of AM.AMSB also inhibited Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Haemophilus influenza, the MIC 90 were 4 mg/L and 8 mg/L respectively. The productivity of β-lactamase of most gram negative bacteria was 80%~100% in this experiment.AMSB showed good activities against gram negative bacteria and more potent than those of AM,the in vitro activities of AMSB against the strains that produced β-lactamase were 8~64 times potent than those of AM also. Conclusion Domestic AMSB has the same antibacterial chromatogram and antibacterial activity as imported TFM does.
