Objective To investigate the effects of
Shengui Capsules (SC) on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease. Methods The
coronary artery ligation, pituitrin inducement of
myocardial ischemia, reperfusion of coronary artery in the isolated heart, 86Rb measurement of myocardial nutritive volume of blood flow, and the creatine phosphate kinase (CPK) assay were adopted in the observation of the effects of SC on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease. Results It was found that SC could reduce the area of rat acute myocardial infarction caused by ligating the coronary artery, relieve the changes in ST section and T wave in the rat electrocardiogram induced by intravenous injection of pituitrin, increase the coronary blood flow in the isolated guinea pig heart, decrease the level of serum CPK in the rat, enhance the intake of 86Rb of the mouse myocardium, and increase the myocardial nutritive volume of blood flow. Conclusion SC show rather strong effects on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease.
