To study the action mechanism of
“Tongmai Huashuan Capsule” in the treatment of thrombosis in the deep veins,14 New Zealand
rabbits whose bilateral external jugular veins were clamped and thrombin was injected in these segments were randomized into two groups:
experiment group and control group.In experiment group,7 rabbits were orally given
“Tongmai Huashuan Capsule” by perfusion,once a day and for consecutive 30 days.The contents of blood t-PA and PAT were assayed on the 1st,3rd,5th,7th,14th and 30th days after modeling respectively;and on the 3rd and 5th days,2 rabbits were sacrificed and the endothelia cells in the jugular thrombosis were observed under electron microscope.Results:In experiment group,the injury to the endothelia cells was milder,with no WBC adhesion and infiltration in the jugular wall;t-PA/PAI values on the 14th and 30th days after modeling were obviously higher than those in the control group.It is indicated that “Tongmai Huashuan Capsule”,in the treatment of venous thrombosis,acts to suppress inflammation and protect endothelia cells,and promote the secretion of t-PA and resulting fibrinolytic activity.
