Objective To investigate the protective effect of arginine on the organ of the mice which intoxicated with nitric tetroxide,
and then to look for new method to deal with intoxication of nitric tetroxide. Methods Thirty male LACA were divided randomly into 3 groups according to body weight: control group, intoxication group, arginine treatment group. To prepare the intoxication model:nitric tetroxide was given to mice by inhalation for 15 minutes,and keeping= 30 ppm. The control group was not treated; the intoxication group was only injected with 0.1 mL NS each mice;the arginine treatment group was injected with arginine (0.1 mL,3 times per day,3 days ).Results The mice′s hemanalysis of the intoxication group was worse than that of the control group, and the mice′s hemanalysis of the arginine treatment group was better than that of the intoxication group. Conclusion Treatment with arginine could protect the dysfunction of liver and kidney of the mice intoxicated with nitric tetroxide,and arginine could help to treat the injured mice of nitric tetroxide.
