Objective:To study the efficacy of water extract of Yishen formula(YSF) and Liuweidihuang(LWDH) capsule in treatment of NS rats induced by adriamycin(ADM).Methods:NS rat model was created by intra peritoneal administration of ADM.NS rats were divided into 4 groups:high dose YSF group,low dose YSF group,LWDH group and control group.Renal function,blood lipids,plasma protein,renal cell histological pathology and anti oxidation effect were observed.Results:In active groups,the TC(total cholesterols),BUN(blood urea nitrogen),creatinine,TG(triglyceride),and albumin were significantly decreased( P <0.01),the TP(total proteins) and MDA(malondialdehyde) were significantly decreased( P <0.01);the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was enhanced,and the renal cell histological pathology was improved( P <0.01) but no significant difference in renal cell histological pathology was observed in LWDH group( P >0.05).The parameters mentioned above were not observed significant difference in different dose groups.Conclusion:Both the YSF and LWDH are effective in treatment of hypermitrogenemia,hypoproteinemias,and hyperlipemia in NS rats induced by ADM.
