Objective\ To study the
antitumor activity of the chinese herb Gui\|Lin\|San(GLS).\ Methods\ The influences of the GLS in
ascitic fluid quantity in mice inoculated with hepatic ascites carcinoma cells(H\-\{22\}) and Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC) were determined.\ The influences of the GLS in oncogenesis in mice inoculated with solid tumor U\-\{14\} also its synergetic effects to commonly\|used chemotherapeutic agents such as 5\|fluorouracil(5\|FU) or cytoxan(CTX) was determined.\ Results\ The GLS had effect against the
ascitic tumors and inhibition on the growth of the solid tumors respectively.\ Combined with low dose of 5\|FU(25 mg·kg\+\{-1\}·d\+\{-1\}×1, ig), the GLS can greatly inhibited fluid formation of mice with ascitic tumors.\ In combination slight tumor\|inhibitory dose of CTX(25 mg·kg\+\{-1\}·d\+\{-1\}×1, ig) with GLS, the effect was much pronounced than that of single CTX.\ Conclusion\ The GLS have anti\|tumors effect and the
antitumor effect was significantly promoted by combining GLS with 5\|FU or CTX.\;
