Objective To study the
hyperglycemia and other complications of using the rnGH on dangerous post operation patients.Methods
RnGH was used on 8 dangerous cases of post operation These subjects were treated with the 8～10U/day of rnGH for periods ranging from 1st to 14th day after operation.The patients were treated with TPN,the total energy was 30Kcal/Kg/day,the insulin dose was changed according to the blood sugar,and more insulin was administered to diabates according to insulin dose before operation.The blood glucose was checked four times one day during the first week in order to change the insulin dose.Results 6 cases had high blood sugar after being given rnGH,and the average time of high blood sugar was from 2 nd or 3 rd day.Even adding the insulin dose,the blood glucose still advanced at 35 mmol/L,and difficult to control.2 cases died of severe abdominal infection and ARDS.Conclusions we should be careful to use or unuse rnGH on dangerous post operation patients,otherwise it will cause the high blood glucose and other complications.
