IMMUNOLOGIC EFFECTS OF BINGGANKANG ORAL LIQUID ON RATS WITH INJURED LIVER

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: JOURNAL OF SHANDONG UNIVERSITY OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
This abstract was translated from 丙肝康对大鼠肝损伤及免疫功能的影响
Objective:To investegate the immunity effects of Binggankang (BGK) oral liquid on experimental liver fibrosis
and function of immune response in rats. Methods:The livers of rats were injured by bovine serum albumen from vein. After three times,BGK was orally administrated to some injured rats. These indexes needed to be observed:body weight,TP,ALB,phagocytic index to staphylococcus,Fc,C 3b receptor numbers in macrophage,ALT,AST,circulatory immune complex(CIC),MAO,hydroxproline in liver, liver morphoachitecture, splenic morphcachitecture, percent of T lymphocytes in rats serum. Results:The levels of phagocytic index to staphylococcus,Fc,C 3b receptor numbers,ALB,percent of T lymphocytes in BGK group were higher than those in the model group (P<0.05,P<0.01).These levels of ALT,MAO,CIC,hydroxproline in liver were lower than those in the model group (P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion:BGK could obviously reduce the degree of hepatofibrosis in rats and congestion and hydrops in spleen, increase immune function in injured rats, eliminated CIC and protect effectively the injured liver of rats. <
