Objective:To study the regulation effect of water extraction from Ganoderma Lucidum (Lyess. ex Fr) karst (GL W) on human
immune cells and cytokine. Methods: With the technologies of MTT and FACS, the proliferation of
T lymphocyte subgroup and IL 6 production in
human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) were studied. Results: 1. In the absence of mitogin, GL W could induce not only the inactive lymphocyte but also the PHA activited lymphocyte to proliferate in the similar concentration. The proliferation in the later was more obvious ( P <0.05). The cell cycle analysis found that the increment was mainly at the stage of S phase, which indicated that GL W could promote the DNA synthesis of human PBL. 2. It was found that GL W could induced the CD4 + cell ratio to increase during the double label detection of PHA activited T lymphocyte subgroup added by the maximum proliferation promoting effect concentration of GL W. This indicated that GL W had the immunity promoting effect. 3. GL W could have the induced production promoting effect of IL 6 on the activited human PBL. Conclusions: GL W can enhance the immune function of human body.
