Objective\ To study the
protective effect of cold preserved rat liver with custodiol solution and verapamil. Methods\ The
isolated perfusion liver model of 40 Wistar rats was used. The liver was perfused with custodiol solution and verapamil. After 6 h, 24 h and 48 h of
preservation at 4℃ the mortality of sinusoidal endothelial cell and the LDH, ATL activities were observed. Results\ The effect of groups of custodiol solution and verapamil was better than in the group of control. After 24 h preservation, the mortality of hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cell in group CVA and group custodiol was 30.29% and 36.36% , which were lower than in group verapamil (57.53%) and group Ringer's (61.55%). There was a singnificant difference ( P <0.05). After 48 h preservation,the differences bettween group CVA ( 49.46% ), group custodiol (57.45%) and group verapamil(78.79%) or group Ringer's (89.21%) were the most significant ( P <0.001). Conclusion\ The combination of verapamil and custodiol solution had an obvious
protective effect on donor rat liver. \;
