To study the difference of content between macro- and micro-elements in whole and varied parts of scorpion and to research
whether those elements correlated with their clinical effects and toxicity, the content of macro-elements Ca and Mg and micro-elements Fe,Cu,Zn,Mn,Pb in scorpion was analyzed with
luminescent spectrum.The results showed that the content of Ca,Mg,Fe,Cu,Zn,Mn and Pb in trail of female and male was obviously lower than that in whole body,head and abdomen.The micro-elments spectrum is Fe>Zn>Cu>Mn>Pb.The content of Zn in whole male was distinctly lower than that in female,so was the content of micro and macro elements in different pharmaceutic parts,while the content of Pb and water in male was higher than that in female. The content of Ca in the whole body was 6～8 times higher than that as reported,while the content of Mg was the same as the reported literature.It concluded the pharmaceutic materials quality of whole body and different pharmaceutic parts of female scorpion,as well as the content of micro-elements was more superior to that of male.Analgesic effect and toxicity of trial were not associated with the content of macro-and micro-elements.
