Method: determining the effects and tolerance of the drug on nervous system after giving mice drug orally at one time; determining LD50 after i.p.; recording ECG and respiratory variations of the cats in different time after giving the drug orally; doing long-term toxicological test with different doses for two months. Results: The drug had no any effect on autonomic activities of the mice and no synergistic and inhibitory effects when it used with sodium benzoate and sodium pentobarbital. It had no effect on cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the cats. The maximal tolerance dose to mice orally was more than 24 g/ kg and LD50 of i.p. was 3842.82 mg/ kg. There was no any effect on various testing indications of the rats after two months. Conclusion: The drug has no effects on nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the animals. Taking the drug for long time may have no prominent side or toxic effects.
