Objective: To study the influence of nimotop on the
expression of NF-κB in perihematomal brain regions of rats. Methods:
Male Sprague -Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal group (group A) , pseudo-operation group (group B),model group (group C) and nimotop treatment group (group D).ICH models were induced in rats by injecting Ⅶ type collagenase into the right globas pallidus. The brain tissue specimens in every group were respectively gathered at the time of 6 h,24 h ,48 h and 96 h after operation. The
expression of NF-κB in rat brain after ICH was detected with immunohistochemistry method, at the same time the
moisture in brain tissue was measured. Results: Compared with group A and group B , the expression of NF-κB and moisture in brain tissue in group C were obviously increased (P < 0. 01) . Compared with group C , the expression of NF-κB and moisture in brain tissue in group D were obviously decreased(P < 0.05,or P < 0.01). Conclusion: Nimotop can reduce the expression of NF-κB in rat after ICH, which may be related with the anti-edema effect following ICH.
