Objective To investigate the chronic toxicity of
Compound Radix Angelicae Dahuricae capsule. Methods SD rats were i.g.given
3.0,1.0 and 0.3 g·kg~(-1)
Compound Radix Angelicae Dahuricae capsule(correspond to unprocessed drug 27.8,9.28 and 2.78 g·kg~(-1),respectively),equaling to 300,100 and 30 times of clinical estimated dose by p.o.once a day and for 12 weeks.Meanwhile,rats' behavior and appearance were observed,and night shit and urine everyday amounts were measured.Consumption quantity of food were measured once two weeks and body weight once every week and two weeks after
withdrawal of drugs.The blood and blood biochemistry indexes of 10 rats in every group respectively were measured on day 1 and 14 after withdrawal of drugs and rats were killed and organ coefficient were measured and main organs were examined by pathological method. Results All of indexes investigated didn't show obvious abnormalities. Conclusion Compound Radix Angelicae Dahuricae capsule has no apparent chronic toxicity and is safe to use with clinical dosage.
