The objective of the paper is to study the action of IL-1,NO and
histamine in rat models of lumbar intervetebral disk hernia(LIDH)
and the influence of "GUANGLONGHAO GAO"(GLHG,a TCD plaster) on IL-1,NO and
histamine.Sixty rats were randomly divided into Group A(the normal),Group B(the modeled),Group C(treated by GLHG) and Group D(treated by "QIZHENG ZHITONG GAO"),and the levels of IL-1,NO and histamine in the local tissues around the nerve root were observed. The results showed that IL-1,NO and histamine in Group B ascended
significantly compared with the ones of Group A(P < 0.01) but the ones of Group C and Group D descent significantly compared with the ones of Group B(P < 0.01),suggesting that IL-1,NO and histamine in rat LIDH models were significantly increased, which may be the latent initiating and promoting factor of LIDH;GLHG could obviously reduce the levels of IL-1,NO and histamine in the local tissues of the nerve root;the function of GLHG may be partly accomplished through inhibiting the activity of inflammatory cell factors.
