To study the protective effects of
Tussah Powder on alloxan-induced
diabetes in mice,an experimental diabetes model was established
by intravenous injection of alloxan after fed
Tussah Powder 4 weeks,the effects of Tussah Powder on diabetes mice were investigated by observing the change of blood
glucose,lipometabolic index(TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C).Compared to the positive control group,middle and high dose group can decrease the level of blood glucose by 31.3%,42.5%(p<0.01)respectively;the contents of TG,TC,LDL-C of all dose groups decreased differently degree,and the content of LDL-C of high dose group isn't different from negative control group(p>0.05);the contents of HDL-C of all dose group increased,whole middle and high dose group had significantly difference with Model(p<0.05).For alloxan-induced diabetes in mice,Tussah Powder can decrease the level of blood glucose,improve lipometabolic,decrease the fat sediment.Tussah Powder has a significantly protective effect on alloxan-induced diabetes in mice.
