AIM:To investigate the effect of sugar deficiency on cell PC12 and the protect ive function of xingnao qizhi
capsule drug
serum. METHODS:Cell PC12 was cultured in vitro with the method of serum pharmacology. Moreover,the injury of sugar deficiency was induced by Earle's solution without sugar,so as to observe the morphology of PC12,cell
vitality with MTT and the cha nges of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) vitality. RESULTS:PC12 was injured obviously under the sugar deficiency and could be obs erve with cell turgescent and ring diminution,descent of reflected light and anc horing function, and part cell splitting into fragment.Xingnao qizhi
capsule dru g serum could relieve the effect of sugar deficiency on the changes of morpholog y of PC12.The results showed that the reflected light was strengthened and the n umber of fragment was decreased.After sugar deficiency injury,the vitality of P C12(0.20±0.03) was decreased,but the vitality of LDH<(1.85±0.23) kU/L>was in cr eased. However,the vitality of cell was obviously increased and the vitality of LDH was markedly decreased after given xingnao qizhi capsule drug serum. CONCLUSION:Xingnao qizhi capsule drug serum can obviously alleviate the sugar deficiency injury of PC12,which presents a certain relation on the dosage.
