OBJECTIVE To give some reference to clinicia n and supervisor,we carried out survey and evaluation of use of antibiotics
and major combination in the emergency center of Nanjing First Hospital in the half year of 2004.METHODS Statistic data of consumption and cost of the antibiotic from the pharmacy computer manage system in the half year of 200 4 offers the varieties in use and help work out top 10 DDDs; antibiotic prescrip tions were analyzed in the random selection of 5527 clinical prescriptions at th e same time, which suggest some information and major types of combined uses in antibiotics.RESULTS High rate of the use of antibiotics (eigh t species,45 varieties) has reach 62.3%of the total cost,and DDDs suggest th e top 10(the antibiotics for injection and oral) used the most frequently. With the increasing bacterial resistance for the penicillin G and ampicillin, more and more clinicians begin to turn to broad spectrum benzylpenicillins and Ⅱ,Ⅲ generation or compound cephlosporins. Single use is 80.8% is rational and sub ject to features of the emergency center. Doctors have some difficulties in cho osing the drug because of the urgent situation and unfamiliar new drugs, so ,t here is some problem ahead in need of further assessed in the rationality.
