Objective To determine the differences of Chinese Traditional Medicine

across blood aqueous humor and blood vitreous barrier.Methods Forty eight rabbits were divided into six groups,and there were eight rabbits in each group.After the rabbits were laraged 100mg/ml
Fel Ursi,vitreous were extracted from the left eyes,and aqueous humor were also extracted from right eyes at 0.5h,1h,2h,4h,6h and 8h.Then determine the
concentration of UDCA by HPLC.Results The average concentration in aqueous humor at all time points were between 33.03μg/ml and 47.71μg/ml,and the maximum at 4h.The average concentration at all time points in vitreous were between 10.80μg/ml and 17.09μg/ml,the maximum at 6h.Compared the concentration of UDCA in aqueous humor and vitreous at 6h, P <0.01;at other time points the comparison result was P >0.05.The concentration of UDCA in aqueous humor and vitreous at 6h was dramatically different,but at other time points there were no dramatically differences.Conclusion Fel Ursi can penetrate blood aqueous barrier and blood vitreous barrier,permeable ability into aqueous humor and vitreous are similar at most time points.
