EFFECT OF HEALTH PROTECTION PRODUCT MLXSH ON T CELL IMMUNE RESPONSE IN HUMAN

LXSH is a health protection product made of mixture of Chinese herbs characterized by promotion and regulation of “Qi(气)”“and ”“Xue(血)”in the means of Chinese traditional medicine. The effect of MLXSH on immune response in human has been investigated. After oral adminstration of MLXSH by volunteers for a period of 21 days, blood samples were collected and peripheral T cells separated for the assays of T cell proliferation, IL2 and IL6 productions in response to PHA stimulation. The results showed that the administration of MLXSH signnificantly improved the general situation such as sleeping, appetite and mentation in the volunteers of all ages. For the immune response, however, MLXSH only improved the T cell functions in aged human by raising their mildly impaired T cell response to normal level. The MLXSH did not show any effect on T cell immune response in young healthy volunteers whose immune response are normal and delicatly regulated. It conclude that administration of the health protection product MLXSH can improve T cell immune response in aged human.
