Aims:On basis of previous study of Chinese Herbs Xuefuzhuyutang on liver fibrosis,we conducted this study
to evaluated the effects of Xuefuzhuyutang on CCl4-unduced rat portal hypertension Methods:40 SD rats were assigned to four groups:normal control,Xuefuzhuyutang,Chochicine and liver cirrhosis groups.The rats were feed with these druge seperately when the study began.All rats were measure portal vein pressure directly in anaethesized and sacrificed after 13 weeks.Results:The portal vein pressure and rate of portal hypertension of Chinese Herbs Xuefuzhuyutang were 1.38±0.27 Kpa,and chochicine groups were 1.69±0.08Kpa,significantly lower than the cirrhosis group1.91±0.17Kpa (P<0.01).and Chinese Herbs Xuefuzhuyutang has a less grade of liver fibrosis than cochicine(P<0.01)Conclusion:Chinese Herbs Xuefuzhuyuang have a significant effects on reducing rat portal hypertension and has a more significant effects both on reducing portal hypertension and anti-fibrosis the chochicine.We believe that Chinese Herbs Xuefuzhuyutang has a more brillant usage on portal hypertension area.
