Do you love tea? Well, there’s more reason to love it.
According to the researchers at the University College London,
tea (whether it be black, white, or green) can significantly reduce stress levels in the body. This means that a simple act such as tea drinking can help you get a grip when facing an extra-rough day. Experts
suggest drinking three or more cups of tea as this amount has also been found to improve cardiovascular health.
But wait! If you think that this news gives you the license to gulp down gallons and gallons of sugary iced tea, think again. (You’re better off drinking plain old water). The
freshly brewed kind (from loose tea leaves or teabags) is preferable to instant iced tea since you can forgo all that added sugar, not to mention those hidden calories and additives. Moreover, experts suggest that milk not be added to your freshly-brewed tea (sorry, milk tea lovers!). Adding milk has been found to cancel out the antioxidant power of tea.
Oh, well, drink up!
