. Meditation is a state that the mind dissolves and free of all thoughts. It is a state of relaxation. Meditation is to focusing the mind on a single object like one''s breath or a mantra. It is the guidance of a higher power. Meditation may be for a religious purpose, but now it becomes a spiritual movement, like a one type of yoga. From the views of psychology, meditation can induce an altered state of consciousness and it is the best exercise for mind. Meditation may serve simply as a means of relaxation from busy daily routine. There are many types of meditation like as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, New age, Sikhim, Taoism, active/ dynamic meditation and Secular etc. meditation has many
different
types like over all but their results are same. Yes, sometime may be it''s method could be different. Different spiritual traditions and different teachers prescribe or suggest different physical postures for meditation. The several cross legged postures is one of the most famous posture including Lotus position. Mudras can carry theological meaning and according to yogic philosophy. It can actually affect consciousness. Some people use repetitive activities such as deep breathing, humming or chanting to help induce a meditative state. Soto Zen practitioners prescribe meditation with their open eyes and facing a wall but most schools of meditation assume that the eyes will be closed or only half open. Meditation is a wide practice. A simple meaning of meditation is relaxation from a busy daily routine. It helps to improve concentration, awareness and self discipline. Meditation is a technique for cultivating mental discipline and communing with ones god. In the recent year, the medical community has been a growing interest to study the physiological effects of meditation. Meditation has entered the main stream of healthcare as a method of stress and pain reduction. Meditation is often used in hospitals as a method of stress reduction. Dr. James Austin, A Neurophysiologist at the University of Colorado, reports that meditation rewires the circuitry of the brain. Dr. Herbert Benson, from the mind body medical institute, reports that meditation induces a host of biochemical and physical changes in the body collectivity and it includes changes in metabolism, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and brain chemistry. So we can say that meditation is a challenge against drugs and you can live a long life without any dieses with help of your own doctor like meditation. Write your abstract here.
