Termiteburgers, Earthwormburgers, Anyone?

Twelve Billion people in the year 2050. And what to feed them? That figure mentioned above is more than double the current figure. Food scientists are in a quandary about what to do as they begin to study some of the food alternatives available. One of the criteria in selecting the alternative food is the abundance of it. Secondly, this alternative must also be rich in nutrients. Thirdly, this alternative must be inexpensive yet health-giving. After years of exhaustive research, some food researchers have come up with two promising protein-rich food alternatives—the earthworms and the lowly termites.
