AIDS and HIV are both very serious conditions that can occur within the body if one does not take care of themselves and practice safe sex. AIDS is the disease caused by HIV. HIV is not airborne meaning that it cannot be contracted through the air. For one to contract HIV they must either have unprotected sex with someone who has the virus or have an open wound and some one with infected blood manages to come in contact with it. The disease AIDS is a very scary one indeed. If one does manage to get AIDS there is a 0% survival rate in the end. The disease AIDS does not kill a person it only weakens the immune system, and allows other bacterial virus to get into the body and grow more and more until it is so large that nothing can stop it from growing more and more until It cannot be stopped.
AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome; A - Acquired - because it''s a condition one must acquire or get infected with, not something transmitted through the genes, I - Immune - because it affects the body''s immune system, the part of the body which usually works to fight off germs such as bacteria and viruses, D - Deficiency - because it makes the immune system deficient (makes it not work properly),
